American Tower Strategic Analytics, Senior Analyst in Woburn, Massachusetts
The Senior Strategic Analytics Analyst is part of a team that focuses on the management, oversight, and allocation of all capital investment activities across the Company’s Operations department. The Senior Analyst delivers high-impact, data-driven insights, recommendations and metrics around capital investment programs and projects. The Senior Analyst will daily review, evaluate, and analyze asset-level, operational and financial information regarding capital projects to provide strategic direction and management oversight to all internal stakeholders. The incumbent will work across business units to create or enhance various key performance indicators, process improvement initiatives, and benchmarking capital projects of expected performance to plan. The incumbent will generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business unit overviews that detail financial performance summaries for mid- and senior-level management. The Senior Strategic Analytics Analyst must be highly collaborative and able to dig into and build a strong analytical understanding of key databases and data sets to develop higher-level findings primarily to support analytics and decisions made related to capital investments across the Company.
Manage, track, and report to internal stakeholders via formal communications channels on all capital project activities, including budgets, costs, cycle times, and statuses.
Validate and interpret large amounts of disparate datasets using a variety of tools to transform data into actionable insights and initiatives.
Analyze financial-, business-, performance-, and budget-related data.
Produce operational reports of performance measures and metrics.
Provide ad hoc project support and analysis to executives.
Develop and maintain forecasts to track and measure the performance of capital projects.
Collaborate with team members to develop financial forecasts that incorporate current business trends and strategic initiatives.
Quantify and articulate risks and opportunities in achieving forecasts and prepare “cause of change” reports related to these forecasts.
Facilitate new project review processes to meet or exceed established and required financial investment return (i.e., financial, planning, and analysis) requirements.
Maintain strong and consistent communication methods and procedures for proactively informing and updating all key internal stakeholders involved throughout a project’s life cycle, from initial review to closeout.
Produce various reports and dashboards based on multiple data sources to highlight findings of actionable insights and potential recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across the organization to develop processes, produce visualizations, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional role with capital investments and asset management, marketing, sales, business intelligence, and business planning to inform business strategies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in a quantitative field (e.g., math, finance, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.) preferred
At least 3 years’ experience managing projects, market analytics, data analytics, and/or strategic planning required
Five years of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and forecasting experience required.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and function formulas for data comparison) and PowerPoint required.
Prior experience working in wireless infrastructure industry with specific knowledge of the development, construction, leasing process, and/or regulatory environment preferred.
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
