We are looking for a User Experience Designer with solid skills in interaction design and an understanding of how information architecture fundamentally impacts a product’s success.We need someone to help devise visual vocabularies, data visualizations, and interaction workflows for tools our customers rely on for detection, prevention and remediation of security risks. You’ll join several senior designers who share your passion for bringing great UX to the enterprise space. You’ll work cross-functionally with product management and engineering, and have frequent opportunities to obtain feedback directly from people who work in the dynamically evolving software security field.

Our UX team is a startup within a startup: we move fast, learn faster, collaborate enthusiastically and lay track on processes as we go. We’ve got great support from both product management and software engineering, and executive sponsorship. What You’ll Do

  • Refine user scenarios and user stories in concert with product management.

  • Facilitate cross-functional design jams to explore user and business goals.

  • Capture design possibilities with quick sketches.

  • Articulate designs with user workflows and annotated wireframes.

  • Use basic prototypes to explore and validate design decisions through usability studies.

  • Understand when to involve User Research, help inform usability test plans, and iterate based on research findings.

  • Work with UX copywriters and content developers to arrive at and clarify language and terminology in the UI.

  • Apply business prioritizations and suggest reasonable trade-offs in order to meet project objectives.

  • Present design alternatives with confidence, and absorb feedback with grace.

  • Capable of creating high fidelity visuals when needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2-5 years’ experience working on complex web applications (not just web sites).

  • Commitment to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent eye for page balance and hierarchy of content, layout and visuals.

  • Proficiency in interaction design and information architecture.

  • Capability in articulating design rationales and facilitating productive discussions.

  • Skill both in blank-slate initiatives, and in projects for established products.

  • Ability to break down goals and objectives into a reliable work plan.

  • Independent initiative within shared team goals.

  • Bonus Points: Experience in at least one project in the security technology space.
