The Business Analyst sits at the intersection of strategy and design, acting as the integration point for the design and technical teams. The Business Analyst leads the identification of the business objectives driving projects and represents these objectives over the course of the effort to ensure that the project is achieving the intended business results. The Business Analyst defines current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions) and works with the technical team to ensure proper translation of business requirements to solution requirements. The Business Analyst leads the articulation and detailing of key application capabilities, requirements, business rules, etc. to support design and development activities.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Instruct, guide and supervise analyst team in documenting project requirements with clear, concise language, consistent with the requirements and design thinking framework

Drives the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes; may provide counsel on impact of systems changes to business processes through the application of a design thinking framework

Actively participates and drives the development of detailed user research, persona development, journey maps, usability recommendations, MVPs, vision blueprints, big ideas, prototypes, and related documentation

Coaches and advocates for business area regarding system needs and requests with various groups

Consults with users, developers, testers, and implementation specialists

Required Qualifications :

  • Must have Design Thinking experience

  • Experienced with agile delivery methods and user centric design

  • Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines with designers, developers, writers, and creative technologists, as well as with business and product managers.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply by listening and conveying difficult messages in a positive manner

  • Ability to understand and communicate business drivers

  • Adept at competitive analysis, operating models, workflow analysis, and design

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve win-win solutions


  • 4 year degree in related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required

Additional Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years' experience

  • Working knowledge of back, middle and front office financial servicing application platforms

  • Solid knowledge of the requirements of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce quality work

  • Familiarity with current web and app development technologies

  • Experienced with user centered design practices and delivering in agile frameworks
