Duties & Responsibilities:

Teradyne, the industry leader in Semiconductor Automated Test Equipment, is in need of a dynamic, technically skilled engineer to support our new product development program.

This Engineer will be responsible for executing the Manufacturing Engineering activities required to introduce new Printed Circuit Board Assemblies including Design for Manufacturability, factory prototype support, and release to high volume production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage the Hardware Design process to incorporate leading edge Printed Circuit Board Assembly technologies into new products.

  • Execute Design for Manufacturability and Assembly.

  • Participate in process failure mode and effects analysis and component assessments for new products.

  • Execute Risk Assessments, yield predictions, and factory readiness activities on Printed Circuit boards to reduce cost, improve quality and decrease cycle time for new PCB assemblies.

  • Drive fault down activity and support product changes through release to high volume manufacturing at contract manufacturers.

  • Support Teradyne's Green initiative by driving new PCBA products into compliance with RoHS and WEEE requirements, including Lead Free assembly.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

Qualified applicants will have:

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

Ability to use AutoCad, SolidWorks or other mechanical design tool is a plus.

Some familiarity with PCBA design and review tools such as:

  • Cadence Alegro,

  • PADS

  • Valor and Gerber viewers would be helpful but not required.
