Berkshire Healthcare Dietary Aides in New Bedford, Massachusetts
Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility is currently seeking a qualified Dietary Aide to join our team of compassionate and caring staff. The primary purpose of the position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma.
On the job training provided
Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and work well in a team environment
Must be dependable and demonstrate professional behavior
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
