Whole Foods Market Payroll & Benefits Processor (Part Time) in Medford, Massachusetts
Job DescriptionPerforms administrative tasks related to payroll, benefits, and other team member services related functions.
Perform payroll data entry in Kronos including timekeepers, mis-punch corrections, and labor transfers
Approve PTO requests (Bring Up to Scheduled Hours) in Workday and audit PTO weekly to ensure the correct amount of PTO relative to actual hours worked is paid to team members
Respond to all payroll inquiries, garnishments, loan verifications and similar requests in a timely manner
Set up and maintain personnel and other employment files
Complete, process, and store all applicable paperwork related to new hires, job dialogues, leaves of absence, workers compensation, and any other personnel related paperwork
Create and post job requisitions and manage candidates through the applicant tracking system including extending offers, initiating background checks, processing hires, and dispositioning candidates
Perform transactions in Workday related to hires, job changes, transfers, terminations, etc. ensuring both data integrity and timely completion
Ensure timely completion of all new hire I-9s and any recertifications as needed
Regularly run audit reports in Workday to help manage team member benefit deadlines, team leader approvals, outstanding onboarding tasks, etc.
Assist team members with payroll and benefit related questions; troubleshoot issues as needed
Educate team members on Workday and its usage related to time off requests, benefits enrollment, etc.
Assist store leadership with ensuring timely completion of all workers compensation paperwork
Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the job
Escalate issues to Team Member Services, as appropriate
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to follow directions and established procedures
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Working knowledge of HRIS and/or timekeeping systems (Workday, Kronos)
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
