Raytheon Senior Contracts Manager in Marlborough, Massachusetts
Raytheon IIS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) Contracts Team in the Transportation and Support Services (TSS) Mission Area located in Marlborough, MA. The Senior Manager will provide leadership to the ATS Contracts Team spanning 2 locations - Marlborough, MA and Fullerton, CA. The work will involve contracts support of a diverse and competitive portfolio that contains business with a variety of customers including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), US Air Force, US Navy, US Army, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and several DCS international customers. The candidate will be a model for collaboration across functions and the enterprise. As a leader in the contracts organization, the successful candidate will recruit, develop, and retain contracts professionals to execute on all contractual activities achieving company business objectives. Responsibilities include communicating with customers, proposal development and submission, negotiation, contract compliance, managing contractual issues, and applying overall business acumen to the performance of the business area. In addition, this role is responsible for growth of the business, to include award of follow-on contracts and international captures. The candidate will maximize achievement of program financial and performance goals and minimize potential risks to the business. . The scope of responsibilities includes: create a competitive advantage by providing innovative solutions and governance to the program team, communicating to the ATS Contracts Team and ensuring that terms of the contract are followed, offering solutions to proactively mitigate contractual/program risks, acting as the lead focal point of contact with the customer and being responsible for building positive customer relationships. Requirements : • 12+ years applicable business-related work experience • Experience working with various contract types • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions and solve problems in a team environment • Effective communicator both orally and in writing • Strong analytical skills • Ability to examine the contract environment of all target opportunities with regard to terms and conditions, model contracts and legal environment • Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR • Working knowledge of procurement and subcontract management – ability to successfully partner with Supply Chain • Experience in anticipating and resolving problems, developing solutions, and assist business leaders in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives • Experience to advise and support front-end strategic assessment of business pursuits. • Act as primary focal point for Customer interface during all phases of contract capture and execution Desired Skills: • Strong work ethic • Ability to work in a diverse business environment • Ability to drive in the face of challenge and adversity • Experience working competitive proposals • An organized approach to task management that enables timely closure of actions • Ability to work independently with little guidance • Effective team player with proven ability to lead • Knowledge of program management principles • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally • Experience working with FAA’s AMS (Acquisition Management System) • Experience and in-depth knowledge of change management • Comfortable presenting contracts and business related topics to Mission Area Leadership in a high visibility role • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong customer relationships • Ability to research compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management • Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures • Ability to offer innovative approaches to problem solving and develop solutions to contracting issues in leading all phases of the acquisition cycle Required Education (including Major): • BS/BA Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law Master’s Degree, desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor Degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience). 110585
