The Dell Product Security Office offers a unique opportunity to join a very talented team involved in the progressive business of developing, building and delivering leading edge product security practices and standards.

As a Technical Program Manager in the Dell Product Security Office, you’ll driving the definition, development, and implementation of best practice Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) methods, processes, tools and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at unifying, simplifying, scaling and increasing the efficiency of Dell’s SDL.

Key Responsibilities:

The Product Security Technical Program Manager works with the technical leaders within the Product Security Office to define and drive the execution of enterprise-wide programs for a specific product security domain across the product engineering organizations. More specifically:

  • Engage with engineering teams and product security practitioners to define program objectives

  • Work with the various stakeholders to define the components of the program

  • Define and report program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics

  • Engage with the stakeholders to ensure execution of the plan

  • Manage against defined process timelines and requirements

  • Ensure completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support programs

  • Identify, escalate and ensure resolution of issues impacting successful execution of programs

  • Drive consistency and standardization of defined process

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement

As an initial area of responsibility, the Technical Program Manager will define the strategy to develop, maintain, govern and disseminate critical technical content (training, guidance, technical standards, and technical communication) to the global product engineering teams with the goal to maximize the security proficiency and engagement of software developers.

Critical Hiring Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Experience

  • 8+ years of related experience, specifically in Engineering Operations, Security Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, Incident Response.

Skills

  • Experience in security and risk management

  • Proven knowledge of engineering operations and product lifecycle process, tools and metrics

  • Ability to dialogue with engineering at a reasonable level of technical depth

  • Ability to prioritize projects, tasks and deliverables and manage dynamic priorities

  • Ability to drive moderately complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing priorities

  • Strong analytical, process management and reporting skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-driven and accountability-minded
