Reporting to a Senior Program Manager in the Member & Provider Services Department (MAPS) the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and program support for departmental projects and high value enterprise level program implementation.

The project coordinator will work in tandem with teams from all areas of the organization to deliver critical cross-functional and enterprise priority projects. The project coordinator will serve as a critical administrative resource to project leaders. The project coordinator will working directly with the Program Manager to prepare project plans and timelines and will monitor and coordinate multiple projects.

We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and highly motivated individual with the ability to drive results, urgency, and accountability. The role requires excellent communication, problem solving, and the balancing of multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is essential to successfully launching & executing new projects. Expectations for the Project Coordinator include:

  • Perform administrative tasks in support of the Program Manager on departmental and enterprise projects, including correspondence with internal/ external stakeholders and project artifact maintenance and distribution

  • Assist the Program Manager with managing project assessment, planning and operational implementation of work

  • Document and follow up on identified project risks, action items and issues, and updating the RAID documents accordingly

  • Work collaboratively with members of the project team to assist in outlining deadlines and project outcomes, developing and maintaining work plans, and consolidating data and feedback from projects

  • Communicate project data and feedback, including obstacles or issues, to the Program Manager and Program Leads

  • Capture updates and create project and departmental process artifacts in Word, Excel and PowerPoint for weekly and monthly stakeholder and steering committee updates

  • Liaise between the Program Manager, MAPS leadership, project managers, and project leads, supporting other team members as needed

  • Schedule, coordinate, and plan for regularly recurring meetings for high value projects and programs, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items

  • Help deliver a customer relationship management platform for the MAPS department, as well as new business processes to support it

  • Participate in annual, quarterly and monthly departmental business planning activities, including tracking and reporting progress on business plan projects and improvement efforts to the Vice President of the MAPS department

  • Help ensure quality of programs and projects when the Program Manager is not available, by coordinating daily activities in support of current work


  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to coordinate groups of individuals by promoting team work, delegating tasks, and resolving conflict

  • Comfortable with a range of technologies and can quickly learn new software

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, negotiate resources and scope and create solutions to anticipated risks

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to facilitate large meetings and deliver project presentations to large and small audiences, including senior executives

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage numerous, competing and concurrent priorities

  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects

  • Strong customer service presence and able to work well with a variety of people

  • Willingness to take on all types of projects, big and small

  • Able to update stakeholders weekly on project statuses

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of team

Education/Relevant Experience:

  • BA/BS degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of Call Center experience required

  • Minimum 2 years Project management experience preferred

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant health care experience

  • Contracting experience preferred
