The Technician may work in any type of location on client premises. This individual performs maintenance on various types of machines. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as personal computers, electronic transmitting and receiving equipment etc.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of electronic devices as necessary.
Orders replacement parts.
Inspects completed repairs.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
1 year of related work experience.

1. Purpose of the Job – State concisely the aim of the job*. *
Manage Scientific Service operations at the Upper Providence and Upper Merion sites. This includes Technical laboratory services, Lab Support Coordination, and Central Media preparation lab. Ensure all work is carried out to exact specifications and in accordance with all SANOFI / Sodexo policies and procedures; and in accordance with this job description.

Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood and responsibilities are defined. Quality and Compliance non-conformances and potential quality and compliance risks to all regulations must be reported immediately to your line manager and the Sodexo Compliance team. Environmental, Health and Safety non-conformances and potential environmental, health and safety risks must be reported immediately to your line manager and Sodexo EHS.

Manage aspects of Technical Laboratory Service, including IMO Material Management, Laboratory Support Coordination, and Media preparation
Act as a back-up for oversight for Laboratory Services
Assure all applicable employees have been trained on applicable procedures as well as safety and all SANOFI/Sodexo required training.
Responsible for payroll oversight and human resource issues
Assist in compliance related activities including: audits, training records, good documentation practices, SOPs, Forms and Work Instructions at a single site of operations.
Develop and revise existing standards governing the Scientific services Operations as driven by needs to support the operation.
Work with local Compliance team to ensure migration of changes and enhancements of processes and procedures.
Conduct activities in a professional manner appropriate for a laboratory environment.
Review employee attendance on a monthly basis with site Lead(s) and address attendance issues.
Perform periodic and annual review of employees
Oversee work orders and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues as needed.
Act as a liaison between SANOFI customers and Sodexo services, applying problem solving and investigational tactics, as needed.
Provide technical assistance to staff for lab related issues.
Monitor productivity and ensure metrics are being met, which include delivery, quality and customer communications.
Liaise with third party contractors who perform activities managed by Sodexo as needed
Act as primary point of contact for WREF in regards to above mentioned Scientific Services. Follow company, departmental and local safety policies and procedures.

Zero service interruptions within the laboratory services.
Zero non-compliance findings resulting in deviations and/or CAPAs.

Three or more years of laboratory experience
At least one year experience in managing others in a lab environment.
Ability to supervise and train others.
Knowledge of GxP regulations and policies.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Problem solving ability and ability to meet needs of customers in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
Oral and written proficiency in the prevailing language of the site of employment that permits clear oral and written communication in laboratory notebooks, forms and log books.
Understands the current regulatory requirements for own discipline.
Demonstrates understanding of impact on tasks being performed by Scientists and their work.
