Colwen Hotels AM Server in Chelsea, Massachusetts

The BRAND NEW Holiday Inn Chelsea- OPENING SUMMER 2018-- is seeking friendly, detail oriented Servers to join our team!


  • Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible)

  • Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute

  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition

  • Adhere to all applicable brand standards

  • Inspect cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass and sliver prior to use

  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner

  • Adhere to all applicable brand standards for food and beverage service

  • Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures

  • Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked

  • Ensure table presentation (flowers etc.) are fresh and appropriate

  • Set tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repair

  • Anticipate guests needs

  • Clean tables and ensure they are cleaned once guests have finished (balance speed without rushing guests)

  • Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol

  • Compliance to all state and Colwen liquor policies

  • Maintain personal hygiene to ensure food safe for consumption ( proper hand washing, cover wounds) and take pride in appearance

  • Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payment and return change

  • Assist with special events as needed

  • Minimum one year related work experience

  • Friendly and motivated with strong customer service focus

  • TIPS certification ( within 30 days if not certified)

  • Proficient in English language (bilingual strongly preferred)

  • Familiar with Point of Sales register systems

  • Must be willing to work holidays, nights and weekends as required

  • Must be willing to work varied hours
