SENIOR REAL ESTATE LOAN SERVICER, MIT Federal Credit Union (MITFCU), to service real estate loans, including mortgage and home equity. Responsibilities include reviewing loans for accuracy and quality of packaging and performing file maintenance (i.e., member billing, processing payments, answering inquiries, generating tax forms); servicing consumer loans (i.e., payoffs, managing liens, monitoring adjustments, answering inquiries); servicing real estate loans (i.e., generating member billing and servicing notices; payment of taxes, insurance, private mortgage insurance, etc.); file maintenance including inputting loan information in mortgage loan servicing system, administering investor-related servicing (Fannie Mae), reconciling investor loans on SURF, and answering inquiries; preparing and maintaining workflows associated with real estate loan payoffs, payment processing, and loan discharges; receiving, releasing, and monitoring vehicle titles; ensuring MITFCU has perfected its liens on secured vehicles; managing and processing Uniform Commercial Code liens, Mass Save Heat, and Smart Money Rewards loans; processing GAP (guaranteed auto protection) claims; handling force-placed insurance and monitoring paid-ahead loans report; receiving and safeguarding recorded mortgage documents from the Registry of Deeds; performing annual escrow analysis on first mortgage loans and generating member notices; maintaining tracking systems on real estate-related taxes and insurances and generating 1098/1099 tax forms; maintaining NMLS licensing; performing daily/monthly duties on MERS and reporting annually to third party; and entering HMDA loans.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least two years’ experience as a mortgage loan servicer or similar lending industry experience; and at least one year of experience in banking/credit union industry. Knowledge of Fannie Mae delivery, servicing, and reporting strongly preferred. Some college coursework and experience in lending, credit union operations, or related field also preferred.
