GCP Applied Technologies FP&A Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts


The FP&A; Manager – Global Commercial is responsible for global volume rebate and expense processes, and supporting global commercial finance activities, as well as M&A; assessment, contract profitability and process controls, and analyzing actual results and monthly and annual forecasts as needed. Comfort working in a demanding, global public company environment is critical to success, as is the ability to build strong relationships with the global and regional commercial and FP&A; teams and to manage and lead projects across functions.

  • Provide insight, support and recommendations to Commercial business team & Commercial Director of Finance across a wide range of activities as to how actions will impact short and long term goals
  • Coordinate, prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial estimates and provide monthly, and additional ad-hoc (as required), analysis on results
  • Consolidate, track and forecast rebate and allowance accruals, approvals and payments on a global basis
  • Coordinate, prepare and analyze monthly global consolidations of key commercial finance metrics
  • Prepare and lead financial aspects of annual strategic, and operating plans
  • Assist in special initiatives as required to support business unit goals
  • Conduct research on assigned projects/issues, identify course of action and make recommendations and execute as appropriate
  • Provide support, as needed, on M&A; activities, including modeling and due diligence
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a marketing, sales or finance environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated strategic, management, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously. Strong work ethic. Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Executive presence and ability to drive results at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced PC skills required – Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential
  • Expertise with financial systems and tools
  • Strong compliance to company values & ethics
  • Willingness to travel globally as needed


  • Bachelors Degree, MBA highly preferred
