FINANCIAL COORDINATOR, Sloan School of Management-Finance Team, to serve as an in-house accountant and analyst for internal and headquarter accounts. These accounts may include faculty chairs, fellowships, tuition, annual fund, and reserve accounts. Key responsibilities will include leading the execution of budget development and quarterly reporting for assigned internal units such as tuition, faculty, and facilities accounts and providing ad hoc analysis on these areas as needed. Will also be responsible for the management of tuition receipts and transfers, requiring coordinating with central MIT offices such as Student Financial Services and the Office of the Vice President for Finance; critically evaluating business and financial processes and working to streamline and simplify those processes when possible; and providing insight and expertise to the finance team for strategic planning and problem solving.
REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree; at least three years of relevant financial management experience; service-orientation; ability to perform hands-on work in a team-based work group with complex needs and varying levels of experience; strong financial systems experience; excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP; ability to deal with confidential information using discretion and judgment; demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize business needs, manage numerous projects with varying degrees of complexity, and identify and recommend solutions to complex problems; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; strong analytic and communication skill; flexibility. Experience with MIT systems including Cognos and Tableau preferred, as is experience with academic programs and administration. Job #15810-O
