EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER, Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI), to lead the next phase of growth of ESI’s interdisciplinary environment and sustainability education portfolio, in partnership with its director and executive director. Will work closely with diverse MIT students and faculty and be an integral part of the ESI team. Major priorities include the successful management of the new multidisciplinary undergraduate Environment and Sustainability Minor and a new project infusing climate and environment into core undergraduate classes. Core responsibilities for these programs include building a strong student community, managing an innovative advising program, supporting the administration of required subjects, maintaining student records, and assessing program impact. Additional responsibilities include coordinating undergraduate research, internship, and career development programming; supporting digital learning initiatives; working closely with student groups, alumni, and department and central administration staff; liaising with external partners including donors; managing education-related print, web, and social media communications; developing proposals and workplans for new and potential educational projects; and other duties as assigned
REQUIRED: master’s degree; at least five years of work experience, including at least three years of university-level work experience in education programs; direct experience with and passion for working with students; demonstrated experience in and knowledge of this environment; flexibility; outstanding organization and communication skills; close attention to detail; ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and effectively manage time and others. Should be a self-starter and a team player. Experience with digital learning environments and proficiency with data gathering, tracking and analysis, and/or graphic design are desirable. Job #15812-P
