We are a translational leukemia and lymphoma research laboratory that uses a variety of biochemical, molecular, and cell biology approaches to identify new therapeutic targets and develop preclinical models of disease.

The ideal candidate would be a technician who could straddle both the realms of mouse work as well as wet lab experiments. The position will be directly involved with our patient-derived xenograft (PDX) repository and will require proficiency handling mice and harvesting tissue samples, including spleen and bone marrow. This person would also be responsible for processing primary patient samples, injection of tumor samples (IV, SQ), monitoring mice for disease engraftment, bleeding mice, flow cytometry, and data analysis and recording results. Additional work may include bench techniques such as nucleic acid extraction and magnetic selection of tumor populations. Previous experience in the above techniques is preferred, but on the job training can be provided. The candidate must be motivated to learn additional mouse techniques and should have meticulous record keeping skills.

Minimum of B.A./B.S. in biological/animal sciences. Some laboratory experience and proficiency handling mice is desired. We are looking for candidates who have at least two years of availability. The job would provide great exposure to someone who was considering going to graduate school or medical school in the future.
