StoneTurn is seeking a qualified HR Payroll Specialist to join our Boston office.
Job SummaryStoneTurn is an international independent dispute-consulting firm providing specialized consulting services in Complex Business Litigation, Forensic Accounting, Forensic Technology, Fraud, Waste & Corruption and Intellectual Property matters.
In this role, you will manage our international payroll process, benefits administration and compliance in all areas of human resources. We are looking for a high-energy, well-organized team player. This role requires you to demonstrate business professionalism, the ability to multi-task and work in a high growth environment. This position will require you to be an effective professional communicator, both written and orally, as you will interact closely with all levels of management and staff, as well as outside service providers. This role reports directly to the HR Specialist and the HR Director with ultimate reporting responsibilities to the VP of HR and Director of Finance.ResponsibilitiesPayroll• Manage U.S. and international payroll processing beginning to end including expense reimbursement payments, payroll data entry and report generation; Responsible for communicating information to finance for journal entry completion and tax processing• Responsible for maintaining accuracy of payroll databases in 3+ countries of operation including expatriates• Liaise between tax advisors, global mobility team and Accounting• Complete all payroll reports and benefit administrative functions, including garnishments, loan verifications, and references in a timely manner• Manage implementation of payroll systems in countries of expansion• Collaborate with HR Director on annual compensation analyses
Benefits• Administer all benefit programs including 401(k), Section 125 (FSA and transportation), healthcare, dental and STD/LTD/Life• Assist HR Specialist with annual open enrollment process• Update and maintain information for the Firm and HR Intranet• Work closely with HR Director to prepare ad hoc costing analyses as they relate to benefit providers
Compliance• Ensure state and federal compliance with all relevant employment laws, policies and practices• Create, maintain and manage employee personnel files• Reconcile vendor invoices and manage payment process in conjunction with Accounting• Facilitate state/federal registrations (payroll filings etc.) as required by each authority• Processes new hire and termination paperwork
Administration• Assist with ad hoc requests related to the firm's talent management (recruiting, training, performance)Qualifications• BA/BS Human Resources or similar degree and 3-5 years of international payroll/benefits experience• ADP Workforce experience strongly preferred or other HRIS/Payroll systems• Excellent written and verbal communications, strong analytical and problem solving skills• Demonstrated ability to work independently, to manage and resolve conflict, to handle difficult situations in a professional, tactful manner, and to maintain a sense of humor• Must have excellent follow-through skills and strong attention to detail• Extensive knowledge of payroll controls, processes and procedures• Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously• Proactive approach towards improving processes and systems• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint• Experience with expatriates will be viewed as a plus• Experience with benefits administration will be viewed as a plus
