Vice President, Global Credit Review

Job Description

General Duties:

  • Conducts independent risk analyses and assessments of the Bank’s credit products and processes
  • Acts as lead credit review examiner in evaluating the effectiveness of credit processes and guidelines, identifying gaps and recommending improvements and changes as appropriate
  • Acts as subject matter expert/contact point for assigned business areas
  • Identifies material credit concerns
  • Consults with various stakeholders - including business management, Credit Risk, Legal and Finance – to ensure a comprehensive evaluation
  • May serve on relevant committees and participate in or lead a variety of task force assignments and as a liaison for Global Credit Review and Enterprise Risk Management to the business units, Corporate Audit and external auditors and regulators
  • Works closely with counterparts in Enterprise Risk Management on related risk management issues
  • Provides mentoring to junior team members


Global Credit Review’s mandate is wide ranging and comprehensive, so the candidate must be highly motivated, proactive and flexible. The ideal candidate would also possess the following:

  • 10*+* years of experience in a financial services organization
  • 5+ years of credit and/or capital markets risk management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex credit relationships
  • Experience with foreign exchange, securities finance, trading limits, ISDA/CSA terms and/or collateral management is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills, as well as proficiency with financial modeling, portfolio analytics and data analysis
  • Ability to develop business relationships with senior management and others throughout the organization
  • Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • MBA, MSF or CFA preferred
