Associate CITE Content Solutions Developer - Standardized Workflow and Operations
Job Description Summary
The Associate CITE Content Solutions Developer is a critical role to theevolution of Pearson from a publishing organization to a digital courseware solutions provider.
The Associate CITE Content Solutions Developer will work closely with the Senior Workflow Lead to help manage and oversee the operations and production workflow enabling the editorial, content development, production, and digital studio teams to create world-class content at scale in the new CITE workflow. He or she will focus on ensuring operational efficiencies are maintained throughout the workflow and maintaining overall compliance to established protocols necessary for each output.
The Associate CITE Content Solutions Developer will assist with ensuring teams are onboarded to the tools, processes and trainings developed for our new digital delivery infrastructure. He/she will meet with Workflow leads and aid in identifying risks and schedule issues seen within disciplines. He/she will work with leads to help communicate workflow updates and changes to existing processes to content teams working within the CITE workflow. He/she will also play a large role in helping to develop training materials and participate in live training sessions as needed.
The Associate CITE Content Solutions Developer works closely with the other SWOT Workflow leads and the SWOT Technical PMs. As necessary, the CITE Content Solutions Developer will work with content teams to properly document and prioritize functionality requirements, as well as escalate and resolve issues as they arise.
Due to the fluid nature of the work related to CITE and GLP, it must be understood that the day-to-day functions of this position may change, depending on priority needs and platform state.
Collaborate with discipline and workflow leads to identify training needs and opportunities
Work with key stakeholders to help resolve (and escalate, if needed) CITE and GLP workflow-related issues and blockers
Work with product teams to develop training plans, ensure processes are understood and fit for purpose, and serve as a single point of escalation for issues and roadblocks with GLP and CITE
Ensure teams understand the goals and timelines for GLP- and CITE-specific activities, including requirements gathering, pilot activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training.
Facilitate title planning for CITE with discipline counterparts. Ensure content capabilities, constraints, and the CITE roadmap status is fully disseminated
Help product teams prioritize their functionality needs so they can be properly reflected in the global backlog
Work with peers to standardize messaging and training and the roll out of new functionality
Facilitate communication on new features and functionality, ensure that appropriate release documentation is clear and available
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Planning: Helps with on-boarding teams new to the CITE workflow, including developing documentation and leading training sessions. Collaborates with content team to ensure content is being developed in the most stable, efficient manner using the proper tools. Ensures relevant milestones are properly rolled up for review. Works with teams on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Smartsheets, RACI, workflows, etc. Works with content team to prioritize functionality requirements for CITE and GLP. Anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks. Measures performance against goals, evaluates results.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Ensures risks to content development are identified and escalated so proper mitigation can happen in a timely manner.
Operations Management: Assists with communicating workflow and process guidelines to teams. Ensures the proper team members are consulted and participate in decisions as necessary.
Decision Making: Helps to communicate overall status, issues being encountered, and any changes on technical or workflow processes. Uses rigorous logic and methods to help solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Focuses on solutions rather than placing blame. Includes innovative approaches and breaks paradigms when solving problems.
Problem Solving: Interacts with decision makers/stakeholders to help resolve conflicts between plan and execution of various aspects implementation. Makes and implements decisions compatible with organizational and business goals. Defines issues/needs thoroughly and accurately. Analyzes impact of decisions before executing them.
Monitor Schedules and Workflows: Assists with analyzing schedules and workflows. Helps identify delays that could impact overall delivery of titles. Meets with content teams to ensure risks are being addressed and answer any operations questions the teams have with CITE and GLP.
Leadership: Establish alliances with other departments and organizations in order to assess potential partnerships in order to mitigate issues. Demonstrates initiative and assumes responsibility for successes and failures. Plans strategically to minimize situations of a reactive nature.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 2-4 years job experience required, preferably in software project management or operations management.
Ability to enforce standards (technical and process) as necessary
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly and efficiently deliver messages to large groups of users.
Proficiency with PC & Mac, including Microsoft Office, SmartSheet, Microsoft Project or other project management tool
Ability to monitor and manage program schedules.
Ability to set goals, build effective agendas, and lead successful meetings
Provides a realistic view based on constraints and needs. Able to communicate many types of issues to various stakeholder base.
