Oracle Practice Director - General Business - NetSuite Professional Services in Quincy, Massachusetts

This director position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given practice that can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives. Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple first line managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.

10 years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

The Practice Director GeneralBusiness has the primary responsibility to help lead and build a world classPractice for one of the company s premier business units. Thisinvolves driving customer success and retention leading to top line growth,client referenceability, and profit.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeresponsibility and provide leadership for a large professional services teamthat is growing quickly.

Responsiblefor providing vertical leadership and direction to the implementation andintegration teams responsible for initial implementation and ongoingprofessional services delivery of all NetSuite products for customers andclients across several General Business categorized industries

Provideday-to-day leadership to Professional Services managers by optimizing processesrelated to project staffing, assessing and developing consultant skills, andmanaging client escalations

Responsiblefor revenue attainment (through billable hours) and maximizing professionalservice profitability through accurate forecasting and effective management ofthe cost center.

Developand drive strategic and operational plans for the vertical through effectiveplanning, communication and team leadership.

Partnerwith sales management to ensure successful sale and delivery of professionalservices in addition to providing high level consultation in support of salesopportunities.

Developrelationships with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfactionwith the delivery of professional services.

Drivethe continuous evolution of Professional Services through incorporation of bestpractices, consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions, and by buildingof strong professional services team and brand.

Serveas an industry thought leader by participating in various industry forums,panels, tech talks, etc to highlight and promote the use of NetSuite productsand solutions

Preferred Qualifications/Skills include:



10 yearsof overall relevant professional experience and demonstrated success inbuilding and running a professional services function, including significantexperience in application solution consulting leadership roles, and ideallywith large consulting and/or software providers.

Specificexperience consulting to and/or working within Financial Services, Healthcare,Higher Education, Not for Profit line of business or enterprise scaleorganizations.

A strongleader who has managed large teams and revenue streams.

Strongbackground in mid-market and enterprise-level Solution Delivery and ProjectManagement, including experience developing work-breakdown structures and projectplans.

Experiencewith a Big 4 consulting firm, leading systems integrator, or the professionalservices practice of a leading software firm is of primary interest.

Demonstratedexperience in translating customer business requirements into workable softwaresolutions

Someonevery comfortable working closely with the sales team and helping to closedeals. Must have the skills to build a business and advise the team onimproving delivery but with an emphasis on sales.

Demonstratedsuccess as a customer facing executive

A proventrack record of delivering services to complex enterprises ranging Fortune 500through to early-stage startups.

Demonstratedsuccess in driving a very high level of customer standards with impeccableattention to detail and support metrics.

A trackrecord of enabling and developing the skills and careers of direct reports.

Provencustomer engagement skills and track record of delivering, deploying andimplementing large enterprise SaaS or cloud-based technologies.

Strongapplication solution experience ideally with ERP, CRM or similar scalesolution. NetSuite and/or Oracle platform is a plus, however competitivesolutions will be considered (e.g. Dynamics/Great Plains, JD Edwards,SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, Infor).

Exceptionalverbal and written communication skills.

Bachelorand/or Master degree in a technical or business discipline.

FormalProject Management methods training is a plus.
