General Summary

Partner closely with sales leadership in EMC’s Data Protection business unit to help manage and drive the success of the business.

The person in this role will work with sales leadership, operations, finance, HR, recruiting and other organizations to ensure the needs and goals of the business are met. The person in this role will also lead and develop a team of Business Operations Analysts and Business Operations Specialists.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to sales leadership to support and drive decision making

  • Oversee the quota deployment process at a divisional, area & individual contributor level. Continuously measure performance against quotas throughout the year

  • Work with sales management to accurately forecast the business on a monthly & quarterly basis. This includes the use of a variety of metrics, reviewing and understanding deals that will materially impact the forecast, and effectively managing risk to ensure expectations are met

  • Lead & develop a team of Business Analysts. Focus on team development to help progress their careers. Enable your team so they are able to effectively support their respective sales teams

  • Work closely with sales, HR, recruiting & other stakeholders to manage to a regional headcount plan

  • Develop operational models to help manage the business and improve efficiency

  • Responsible for submitting accurate attainment for all sales and pre-sales resources. Work with the commission team to ensure sales teams are paid correctly and to troubleshoot any issues that arise

  • Responsible for communicating all operational initiatives, changes, best practices & formal announcements
