Job Summary

The Lead Nurturing Project Manager position is an exciting opportunity within the Demand Generation team at Staples and is responsible for planning, building, executing and tracking persona-based and programmatic nurturing campaigns. These nurture campaigns are built across digital channels such as email, web, social and display, as well as physical channels such as direct mail. This is a key role working cross-functionally across marketing and sales to accelerate our Mid Market customer acquisition strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

Innovation &Optimization

  • Manage the creation, optimization andscheduling/deployment of innovative nurture campaigns in our marketingautomation platform (Marketo).

  • Conduct A/B testing (creative, subject lines) andreport results for nurture optimization.

  • Ability to optimize customer-centric nurturecampaigns based on the Buyer’s Journey (SiriusDecisions model) and the path aprospect goes through from awareness, consideration and decision.

Passion for CreativeDesign

  • Collaborate with agency partners on nurturecampaign creation, including inspiring design for email and landing pagetemplates and messaging themes.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creativeproblem solving.

Marketing Strategy

  • Manage campaign planning, schedule anddeliverables including content, data, and vehicle with internal and externalmarketing partners.

  • Track effectiveness and optimize our campaignsvia a closed loop campaign process, from planning and set-up through executionand post-campaign ROI assessment.

  • Ability to communicate campaign status/metricsto all levels of management.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Background in B2B customer-centric marketingpreferred

  • 2+ years managing marketing based demandgeneration/nurturing campaigns preferred

  • Marketing automation knowledge is required;experience within Marketo is preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisionsand reasoning to a broad audience

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with alllevels of management, and ability to work confidently across various functionalgroups within a complex matrixed organization

  • Proven ability to learn new technologyapplications quickly

  • Excellent project management skills and keen attentionto detail

  • Strong focus on analytics

  • Ability to successfully align cross-functionalteams

  • Must be a self-starter and creative problemsolver, with ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as partof a team
