Exciting opportunity for someone with job coaching or career counseling experience to join an innovative Community Rehabilitation and Treatment Program that provides comprehensive services to adults with mental illness who are living in the community.
Services are designed to be flexible and to promote resiliency and recovery for all participants.
Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting individuals in all stages of the job search process and for helping to provide individuals with the supports needed to successfully maintain employment.
Primary responsibilities include helping individuals to identify career goals, develop job skills, search for employment opportunities, and write and submit application materials, including resumes and cover letters.
Additional responsibilities include assisting individuals in understanding and managing changes to benefits based on employment income, and helping to build relationships with local employers to develop employment opportunities.
Orientation and supervision provided.

- Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) and ability to make effective public presentations required
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours to accommodate service needs of individuals, as necessary
Must have valid driver’s license and available, dependable transportation and willingness to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle, as needed Required Experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience required
- Experience providing employment and education supports in a community setting preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of IPS/Supported Employment model preferred
