Quality Assurance Lead/Supervisor

Education-

  • High School graduate with minimum of 5 years of experience working in a quality position ( or 3 years of practical work experience with a technical certificate ) combined with increasing levels of responsibility

  • Required skills A high degree of attention to detail to ensure the integrity of the company’s products. Ability to oversee the work of 8 – 12 production employees while maintaining and enforcing adherence to company policy and procedures. Experience working within a food, beverage or personal care manufacturing environment. Previous work experience in a liquid filling environment a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Filling Lines:

  • Creating fill and label samples for products.

  • Checking the line scales weekly for proper calibration.

  • Check job folders to ensure correct components are being used.

Batching:

  • Check to be sure procedures are being followed during the batching process ensuring that the batching group watches each other and signs off before adding anything to the batch.

  • Release, Hold, or Reject batches upon testing results from the lab.

  • Sign and attach QC Pass, QC Hold, or Reject stickers on the appropriate tanks.

Lab/QC:

  • Testing of each batch with the support of a lab tech. This includes titration testing.

  • Check random samples from retain log of incoming raw materials and chemicals.

  • Weekly direct observation of raw material retains and logs.

Procedures:

  • Review, update and create SOPS’s as related to QA.

  • Write QC/QA procedures.

  • Create and maintain QC/QA logs for Batching and Production.

  • Hold employee meetings pertaining to QC/QA procedures.
