Kforce Technical Writer - Accutrac in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client that is searching for a Technical Writer - Accutrac in Boston, MA. This role is not specific to Accutrac. This is to document all about the client's Cloud environment.Duties Include:

  • Outline and write product or process documentation that is technically accurate and conforms to the company's writing style; make necessary revisions to existing documentation; take screen shots and work with graphics and production on presenting information graphically; assists other writers with approach and technical issues; perform peer edits of other writers' documentation

  • Work with, research, and learn about the company's products or processes in order to have a working base of knowledge from which to write documentation; research and develop an understanding of the marketing requirements for the features being documented, including competitive documentation issues

  • Perform an audience assessment for the users to whom specific documentation deliverables are targeted

  • Write or contribute to documentation plan for projects and determine documentation project schedule

  • Work with engineering or operations teams to determine requirements of documentation deliverables

  • Develop technical writing proficiency in the company's writing style; research documentation platforms, methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field, preferably in technical writing or English

  • Certificate or continued education in technical documentation field, if degree is not in this field

  • Typically requires two to five years of technical writing experience

  • Technical documentation experience

  • Must have Cloud experience

  • Leadership: Ability to execute on tasks with weekly supervision; effective planning, scheduling, and research skills

  • Resourcefulness: Ability to identify roadblocks or other issues and seek assistance with resolving them; knowledge of and responsiveness toward customer needs, both internal and external, and willingness to work toward further understanding requirements for customer satisfaction

  • Domain: Excellent writing skills with expertise on proper grammar and usage and knowledge of the company's writing style guidelines; basic knowledge of documentation methodologies
