Role Summary:

The Regional Sourcing Leader will manage a team of Commodity Leaders, Commodity Buyers, Tendering Sourcing, Sourcing initiative Specialists, Supplier Quality Engineers in a given region. Coordinate elaboration of sourcing strategies by Commodity Leaders in relationship with other Regions. Drive Sourcing execution for Inquiry To Order (ITO) & Order to Receipt (OTR); ensure application of global sourcing guidelines to optimize commodities globally.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Regional Sourcing Leader, you will:

  • Ensure appropriate integration of regional constraints and needs in the Sourcing and Purchasing activities in the Region; act as main interface for sourcing with Region

  • Manage suppliers in a given geographical region (qualification, development, panel, relationships

  • Manage the local sourcing team for ITO / OTR phases

  • Be the sourcing representative for the regional business

  • Collect forecast, understand sales and regional business strategy, involve proactively sourcing in ITO & OTR, promote global sourcing strategy

  • Be responsible for methodological guidance for strategy definition, regional constrains integration, suppliers' panel definition

  • Review of strategies defined by Commodity Leaders

  • Support in case of specific issues (claims, negotiations)

  • Consolidate the needs and sourcing strategy across commodities

  • Monitor Sourcing performance of his team through appropriate KPIs and drive improvement action plan accordingly

  • Support product optimization actions in connection with Engineering center of excellence and Product Management

  • Supervise management of suppliers in their respective regions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Purchasing or Economics (technical background)

  • Minimum of 10 years of operational purchasing experience, multicommodities

Desired Characteristics:

  • Heavy industrial, construction industry experience

  • Demonstrated experience in driving cost out initiatives

  • Management, Leadership and change management competencies

  • Global business acumen

  • Ability to define and lead commodity sourcing strategies

  • Master's Degree with Purchasing or Economics profession (technical background)

  • Agility in Supplier Selection & Relationship management / Partnership building

  • Able to understand products and use technical knowledge & skills

  • Ability to make decision / sense of urgency
