As a member of the Federal IT OPS Team, an IT Data Center Ops Sr Advisor is responsible for supporting, operating, designing, planning and leading the implementation of the Windows Server Infrastructure that is utilized by the Federal Business and IT. Additionally, this role provides technical guidance and collaboration with other Engineering and Infrastructure Teams. As a Team Member, you will directly interact with Dell Federal employees that support Federal customers.
Manages, resolves and documents issues and events related to the Middleware and B2B integration applications of DELL's Production environment.
Monitors and measures performance characteristics of applications.
Communicates with all stakeholders (customers, development teams, end users, etc.) to address system issues.
Working knowledge of engaging with vendor through Service requests.
Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
Learns new applications, Dell-specific technologies, system behavior and business processes as they relates to customer needs.
The ideal candidate must be able to quickly adapt and change direction, often managing multiple requests at the same time.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or 8 years of experience in applications support and/or development.
Strong J2EE Middleware Administration skills in Linux and Windows environments.
Strong technical knowledge in the following areas are preferred: Oracle, WebLogic, SOA/OSB, Goldengate, Pivotal tcServer, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebMethods and Web servers (IIS, Apache Web, Pivotal Web).
Broad understanding in JMS like IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ and caching technology like GemFire.
Good knowledge on Layer 7 API Management Solution and Web Services configuration.
Hands-on writing UNIX/Linux Shell Scripts to automate System admin jobs.
Experience in analyzing logs for troubleshooting Application and Web server issues.
Good experience in installation and troubleshoot SSL certs.
Strong knowledge of JVM debugging, analyze Thread/Heap/TCP dumps.
Basic understanding of RDBMS and SQL database technologies.
Strong interpersonal skills, very good command of English and excellent communications are mandatory.
Strong team player with ability to work in a team and as individual contributor.
Process Experience Very strong in ITIL processes on Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident
Willingness to work in rotating shift 24X7
Good analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
