Maintenance Mechanic (Boston, MA)

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Braintree MA, is seeking a motivated, detail oriented professional to work in our maintenance department. Duties will include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing and installing to ensure the maximum utilization of the company’s machines, equipment and facilities. Must recognize the importance of safety and safety procedures and be able to effectively communicate with management and supervision. Must be able to work individually, or in a team environment. This is a full time position.Job Duties:

  • Responsible for safety compliance both personally and with equipment.

  • Perform the duties of inspecting, installing, repair and rebuild a variety of foundry equipment. Utilizing Drawings/ Print as required.

  • Diagnose and remedy trouble, determining necessary repairs, dismantles and reassembles equipment.

  • Perform machine operations to make simple replacement parts.

  • Changes set up and adjust equipment as required.

  • Obtain tools, materials/supplies through department supervisor.

  • Reports questionable matters to department supervisor.

  • Reports defective material/need of maintenance for equipment to supervisor.

  • Maintain tools and equipment; maintain work area in safe, clean and orderly condition.

  • Observes all company rules and regulations.

  • Perform other related duties as required or as directed.


  • Education: High School graduate, GED, Technical School graduate or equivalent training.

  • Experience: Desired - 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of electrical,pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Welding experience a plus.

  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.
