Kforce Junior Business Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Business Analyst in Boston, MA.Summary:The candidate reports to the eDiscovery Senior Business Systems Analyst, the Analyst will work in a hands-on capacity to identify, preserve, collect, and analyze electronically-stored information (ESI). The Analyst supports eDiscovery activities around data preservation management, data collection and eDiscovery data extraction, providing direct support to litigation, FOIA, Public Records Requests (PRR), and other state business requests regarding eDiscovery. The candidate works with clients on activities of moderate complexity; consults with clients and senior IT personnel to develop data collection and data processing solutions as required. They will aid Program or Project managers along with Records Access Officers (RAOs) on phases of larger projects.Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical/eDiscovery work utilizing defined procedures and tools

  • Identify data custodian user IDs and data store locations

  • Manage the collection of data from data custodians

  • Search data per instructions

  • Communicate with data custodians and requesters as necessary

  • Collaborate with outside counsel, external vendors, and/or other internal IT groups as required

  • Define solutions to exceptions that occur during the performance of technical/eDiscovery work

  • Utilize IT skills and experience to define potential solutions to technical/eDiscovery exceptions

  • Communicate potential technical/eDiscovery solutions to eDiscovery management, requesters, and/or other IT groups

  • Perform audits on technical/eDiscovery work

  • Perform minor administrative tasks

  • Accurately and timely report progress, schedule, and issues for technical/eDiscovery work

  • Accurately and timely document technical/eDiscovery work

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable state, secretariat and agency policies and procedures

  • BA/BS degree

  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable IT Security, Operations, or Technical Support experience preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable hands-on eDiscovery experience preferred

  • Experience working with advanced eDiscovery tools such as Security and Compliance Center for Office 365, Exchange 2013 eDiscovery component, SharePoint 2013 eDiscovery component, EMC/Dell SourceOne Discovery Manager, or LexisNexis any or all a plus

  • Experience describing, summarizing, and/or documenting how work was performed and the final results of such work

  • Working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)

  • Working knowledge of Boolean expressions

  • Understanding or experience with well-accepted project management methodology

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and SLAs while performing activities in a time critical, highly confidential process

  • Ability to operate and learning highly technical software

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Must have a high attention to detail, be very flexible, and have the ability and desire to learn new technical/eDiscovery tools and procedures
