CDM Smith is one of the world's top program management (PM) and construction management (CM) firms, providing innovative and creative solutions for our clients and assisting them in achieving successful outcomes on their most important programs. We currently provide PM/CM services around the world with over 300 working full-time professionals who use world-class program controls, processes, and tools.

Our Construction Management team in Boston, MA is seeking an Intermediate Construction Representative.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:

  • Inspecting construction work to ensure compliance with design documents.

  • Interpreting construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

  • Preparing related reports (such as Monthly Progress Report) and maintaining required reports of daily construction activities.

  • Preparing job-related correspondence and conducting contract/client meetings.

  • Informing senior resident engineer of specific problems and completion schedules.

  • Recommending solutions to specific construction problems.

  • Submitting applications and other data to regulatory agencies for review.

  • Reviewing and approving (if necessary) monthly contractor pay estimate.

  • Reviewing change orders.

  • The objective of this position is to plan and organize the activities of a medium-sized team, apply accepted standardization of materials and supplies and construction technology, and demonstrate knowledge of all field disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:

  • A.S. or B.S. degree in engineering or construction preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of construction techniques, standards and applications.

  • 8-10 years of related experience.

  • Must have strong client skills and a good understanding of other technical interface activities.
