Role Summary/Purpose

The EHS Professional II will communicate and contribute to the development of policies and programs, assist with conducting audits and onsite inspections, and analyze data to provide recommendations for improving processes and programs and creating NO HARM.

Essential Function

  • Contribute to the development of an effective Incident Prevention Program in support of NO HARM

  • Ensure that all employees are informed of, comprehend, and comply with EHS policies and procedures as well as local regulations

  • Communicate weekly updates regarding injury and illness awareness and mitigating measures

  • Assist with preparing for unannounced audits and inspections by government entities, including but not limited to federal, state, or local municipalities

  • Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations to improve audit scores

  • Establish good rapport with site supervisors and field EHS personnel on standard sites and offshore platforms

  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources to determine site entry statuses for active field employees

  • Interact with customers, government agencies, and other functions for customer pre-qualification and project planning requirements

  • Assist with managing incident and injury reporting within specified guidelines, including the management of the Workers’ Compensation Program within the team

  • Conduct timely and accurate follow up investigations and coordinate with the employee’s insurance company

  • Provide EHS Managers with analysis of metrics and recommended ways to improve safety policies and programs

  • Train employees, supervisors, and managers on all required training, including company/client job-specific training as needed

  • Implement and manage Safety Task Assignments and SA, JSA, and Risk Assessment training

  • Ensure that all EHS training is up to date for all personnel, including customer and/or job specific required training

  • Assist with accident investigations and analyze root causes to determine and implement safety measures which prevent future incidents

  • Organize and coordinate safety equipment arrival, storage, and distribution as required

  • Track incident management and report to regional EHS and field operations leadership

  • Maintain an effective Drug-Testing Program to ensure a drug free workplace

  • Perform other duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in curriculum related to safety, or the equivalent in training and experience with a minimum of three years in an EHS related position in construction, power generation, or technical industry

  • Certifications such as CSST, CSSM, CHST, OHST, ASP, and CSP are strongly recommended

  • OSHA 50 certified knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and Process Safety

  • Field experience is requiredDesired Characteristics
