Liberty Mutual Director, Strategy & Implementation in Boston, Massachusetts
The Emerging Technology Operationalization team is charged with a mission to identify, vet, and scale new, emerging technologies to improve our customer experience and drive operational efficiency. We will build and harness expertise in these technologies through strong partnerships with our IT/Solaria developers. In addition, we will need to drive strong collaboration across the different USCM business areas in order to align priorities with the biggest needs of the business and to drive joint accountability of results. Lastly, we will also partner closely with T&ES, Communications, Finance, etc to ensure that as we operationalize we are fully capturing the value from the technologies. This is a chance to join a small but growing team who will have a disproportionate benefit to our customers and to our employees.
The Strategy & Implementation team will be directly responsible for ensuring that we have insight into the full portfolio across the Emerging Technology Operationalization team and that we can effectively capture the value from those initiatives. This person will work collaboratively across various functions (e.g., T&ES, Communications, Finance, Business WFM teams, etc) in order to connect the dots from idea generation to workforce enablement through building strong best practices around change management. In addition, this team will lead our future thinking / strategy to orient us on the long-term opportunities.
Directly manages a team of 4, responsible for creating the right culture and environment for success
Sets change management approach and strategy
o Builds standard work with T&ES and Communications across full portfolio
o Partner with WFM teams to drive capacity planning
o Builds strong tracking with Expense Transformation
Builds strong connectivity across Innovation community to drive “futurism” strategy and vision
Manages internal strategy & planning, team retrospectives
Partners with GCM Finance for Quarterly Agile Budgeting
Partners across enterprise to ensure we have a consistent approach and enable knowledge sharing
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Strategy, or equivalent; MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years of work experience preferred (5 years in management), with a strong background in strategy, innovation, technology
Highly analytical and creative thinker, bias to action, practical, with a passion for business problems and emerging technologies
Highly collaborative, strong track record leading and executing on cross-functional projects
Proven ability to conceptualize and execute on a given strategy
Strong verbal and communication skills preferred along with a history of regularly interacting with senior management
