Freeman is seeking a Clerk - Branch Accounting to compute, classify records, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records for a specific branch.
Assist in gathering, sorting, and entering of payroll information into the computerized payroll system
Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed
Total accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases
Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approve for payment
Investigate problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills
Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items
Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and review for accuracy
Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers
Extract general ledger information
Compile and prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as mandated by the supervisor
Assist with preparation of monthly accounts payable accruals and reconcile report discrepancies and problems
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date
Code data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures
Review, balance, and interpret computerized reports, and make corrections
Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures and services
Perform other duties as assigned.
3 years professional experience,
Prior accounting experience a plus and must have the desire to learn and work in all areas of accounting
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel
Ability to reconcile corporate credit card accounts
Must be detail oriented, with a desire to take ownership of their job
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge and experience with SAP
